I have taken a liking to photographing random coins that make me go like "ooh I haven't seen that one", I figured I might aswell dump the pictures here. enjoy ;)
I will not be including coins with the girl in national costume or the one with the coat of arms of Latvia because I see those, like, every day.
Fun fact: apparently the stork species on the coin is actually a black stork! They're pretty rare in Latvia. |

This is an Austrian coin. It shows an Austrian writer Berta von Suttner, she was the first woman to be awarded the Nobel's price. Way to go! |

Now this one really made me go "what the fuck", I've never seen a coin like this. So, this one come from Cyprus and it shows some kind of a chalcolithic idol that was found in a village named Paphos. From a quick google search it seems that the statuette is supposed to represent fertility. |
